More and more of them went by till the sixth chosen had a winged three-eyed tiger which drew the most amount of attention till it was shadowed by an amazing 6 stars of a true genius! a few of the elders conversed nodding their heads in excitement and clear approval. Kimarya heard kids around her talking saying “Alastair, he actually has such amazing latent talent in combination with that dreadful three-eyed winged tiger. He will surely be a pillar of the village and clan!”

Kimarya decided to go after him so she wouldn’t bring up that much attention, she walked forward and noticed that everyone had a strange reaction to her, but she just ignored it and walked forward till she was in front of the stone with the elders nearby. She looked up at the elder named Shamaner who looked back with a light smile and nodded for her to put her hand on the stone.

*******************

I was a tree, just a normal tree till nearly burned to death till I heard the thrumming of a heavenly Dao.  It was a sermon of the stars, talking of a magnificent and extraordinary Dao.

It was a little round stone that fell from the sky, that landed in my trunk, I only felt burning pain, and I would have been burned to ashes and embers were it not for the fierce and horrifying storm that kept that fire from growing uncontrollably, but it still burned me down to a mere stump, but as a tree kin my tenacity is strong, even from a not very thick branch I could still have hope for rebirth.

That object was still inside of my trunk. After escaping that calamity of death and almost passing on I heard this whispering, it was the whispering of the stars, it told of a sermon, an indescribable humming that made me grow strongly, it also vibrated so strongly that it was even breaking the wood crawling up around it thoroughly making it harder to cover it, but the sermon made my life force burst out of all limitations I had as a simple mango tree.

Being a tree there is always a short level of awareness of our environment, time flows differently for those of the tree kin, the only thing that mattered before was the connection to the others, the connection always let us know of the dangers any of us face, whether a stronger strain of termites pop up, or sky fire strikes one of us with more rings in their trunk.

It all just started with my asking of questions rather than always hearing and or telling short info of my health, I asked “Who am I?” The sermons and the stone were firmly gripped in my mind as well as body. As the years passed and I grew more and more, it made it so my roots had a barely discernible vibration and making it so driving deeper into the earth was much easier, rather than always going around stones I wanted them out of my way and so I pushed them out of my way. My bark grew strong and very dense, my thoughts came faster.

I stopped asking who I was, started listening, I stopped talking about me and just saw with all of my senses, and unlike before I remembered everything even after a long while. I suddenly always surprised myself when I had new knowledge of things. This made it better for listening to other things because I could comprehend, I listened to the winds and said “Hello! I listened to the rain and asked “How are you?” I noticed the creatures living on and around my bark enjoying my fruits and told them, “I’m here!”.

I followed the water landing on my leaves and down my branches and trunk as it made its way flowing down into the ground following my roots before leaving me and melting deep into the earth that holds me, I told it “Thank you.”

I became more aware as this Dao told me of all things in the world, of humans, both mortal ones, and cultivators. It said I could become one, but at that moment I didn’t yet have an answer till I saw my first human, they noticed my fruits on the floor but climbed up and plucked several before going back down and leaving.

With time, I was just happy and content, always watching the humans who passed by increasingly often around me, as well as always listening to the teachings of the Dao, soon new kinds of humans came, the teachings told me they were cultivators, they were capable of climbing or even jumping up to my highest branches with such ease to pick some of my fruits. I came to learn that these were the famed cultivators that I learned about who delved into the profundities of the natural and unnatural world.

This went on for a while till one day one of the cultivators decided to sit down and cultivate under my leaves and was alarmed as they realized comprehension of natural laws was drastically much easier and they stayed there meditating for days till weird manifestations occurred around them. She had long hair and small frame and wore these robes, her hair and robes fluttered yet there was no wind flowing. After the manifestations stopped, they rose and left. After some time, they came back with two more cultivators and surprisingly didn’t go for my fruits but just sat under my leaves and just meditated, the two new arrivals almost immediately after closing their eyes found it incredibly easy to go into a profound state where all of their previous shortcomings and questions were easier to solve.

They stayed there for days and left, but every once in a while they would came back to cultivate under my leaves and I soon grew accustomed to this. Other times they searched around the area talking of treasure but after a while found nothing but realized the area of effect was around me and continued with their new routine of meditating under my leaves.

One day the first cultivator came back, she was with this older person with a powerful and intimidating aura, as if a sword in a scabbard who could explode with incredible strength. She addressed that person as Elder, apparently, they were here to investigate. The person even dove into the ground in their examinations! But eventually, they ended up where I was and murmured “This tree is very slightly vibrating, maybe it got connected to a very minor energy vein in the earth or just maybe encountered some sort of fate where it may even come to life!

Soon after they left, this elder brought disciples to the tree every occasionally, to preach teachings of the Dao. Sometimes they even brought odd plants to cultivate around my trunk and even treasured soils to help me which made me very happy and also made me grow very strongly.

I always listened and paid attention to everything, even to the times a lone disciple decided to come at night to practice as they moved around chanting scriptures of different teachings.

One day during a very crowded preaching of the Dao, I finally couldn’t help it, I had so many questions as to where they went, other natural Dao’s, and even the very rare mentions of mystical creatures that the Dao spoke of. I wanted to experience it all and knew it wouldn’t happen if I stayed like this, no matter how content I was. I wanted and needed more.

So I said yes, I wanted to be a hum!

At that moment hymns sang out from thin air, random lights flashed about, even the shy spirits came to bear witness to what was happening. My whole self was shrinking into itself, my roots quickly returned too me from rich mineral grounds deep bellow, my leaves let go and fluttered in the air, my branches shrunk into me till I was a wooden humanoid figure.

Soon my skin formed, my organs appeared, and blood was born in my veins, the most wonderful moment was when my heart, yes, my heart first started beating! I was alive, I was a human and I could become a cultivator!

I slowly raised my head and realized I had curly green hair on my head and smiled, not just with my being, but with my face, that also had lovely facial muscles beneath it. I first tried to speak, but felt an ache and realized my lungs had no air. I took a deep breath, breathing in and even smelling the wonderful air and spoke for the first time, awkwardly at first but I said “H-he-heelloo, m-my Naaame iis Shawmaner!”
*****************************

Kimarya heard murmurings like “She’s still a mortal and hasn’t cultivated.” Others saying, “She’s a special case, she has no soul, incapable of even understanding cultivation. It’s a miracle she even survived and much more so if she actually obtained an Ancestral Spirit.” With a sad shake to their heads. Some even found her misfortune amusing and were ready to enjoy the show.

She ignored them and placed her right hand on the stone that quickly grew warm and started humming until suddenly images started manifesting around her, there was a silhouette of a large humanoid creature with long arms and hair all over.

Everyone was surprised, those that sneered before blanched in shock before regaining their confidence and saying “Sure it’s not something pathetic, guess she wasn’t as dumb and knew she had no potential and chose some bloody Demonic Ape, stupidly cutting off her future wings, they don’t even have a redeeming power. So besides having quick and easy power, it’s the same as closing off your future for quick strength. Bet she won’t even get higher than three stars in aptitude, she may have instincts but doesn’t mean she has any aptitude for cultivation, heh!”

Kimarya ignored this and kept her hand on the stone that grew hotter and soon around her a star formed, then another and they kept appearing till there were a jaw-dropping seven stars glowing around her! The stars even had multiple colors!

At first, there was silence, some of the crowd even started to grow excited till they realized that the elders weren’t smiling and some of the not so smart ones finally understood why, her Ancestral Guardian Spirit was a Demonic Ape, this meant that nearly all chances of future success were nearly zero. Her future growth was severed, as if cultivation didn’t have walls and points of extreme difficulty, added with the calamity of Growth barriers that Demonic Apes had, this could only be the cruelest joke ever.

Some elders sadly shook their heads, how could this happen, such a demonic level of aptitude just for it to be wasted because of an erroneous choice in an Ancestral Spirit Guardian. It could be worked around even if it was a speed based creature, even a flying bug would have been better, even they had higher chances of mutation and atavism than Demonic Apes.

Kimarya was decisive and stuck to her choices, whether sound or completely crazy once she decides, she fully commits. She’s wasted too many hours watching videos where people have second thoughts before doing something and majorly wiping out, enough of those for it to have a lasting impact on her and building that decisiveness.

She made her way with the original direction she got from Sunny.

“Sunny, tell me—”

**Sunny** Sorry for interrupting you, but walking back at night has too many significant risks. The tree there by your right seems to be the most climbable and suitable rest stop for the night. Let’s head there before I give you a more detailed result of my analysis.

Kimarya quickly nodded agreeing with Sunny’s point on not doing too many things at once in such an unfamiliar place and increased her already brisk and nervous pace but towards the tree indicated.

After climbing up a considerable height in the massive tree and nestling in a secure spot between many branches, she asked “Sunny, what are the main things we should talk about right now?”

**Sunny**
Priority wise:

Body update, surviving the trip back to the village, Village situation and politics

Kimarya sighed “Might as well start in that order Sunny, so glad to have you in all this.”

**Sunny**
Starting with the detailed body update, you’re roughly 2 meters tall

She sucked in a quick breath–

Like I originally mentioned your muscle density is extremely dense as well as having a very unique molecular structure that reduces weight.
You have various new organs some even falling into redundancy where they take up and assist in your immune system and other bodily functions, so this body likely has very strong resistances to sicknesses, diseases, toxins, radiation and so on.

The most astounding thing being an almost perverse level of vitality, enough for me to make several upgrades in computing and management of bodily functions as my existence as your subconscious.
There is this also an entirely new composition to this body being in something completely new that I can best describe as a subtle body that is complementary to your organs essentially a whole new organ system in a way.

Understand it as what makes it so you can “cultivate”.

Kimarya interrupts “Cultivate what? What is cultivation? Is it like what I’ve read in oriental stories of ancient monks attaining power through meditation, martial arts and analyzing the laws of the universe?”

**Sunny** Precisely, such a system exists within you. Currently I will need some down time to upgrade functions and capacity, likely best to do something so intensive after reaching the village, recommending to initiate cultivation after reaching the village if possible. But, something I can do is assimilate current remnants of the Subconscious of the host body to assimilate a more harmonic balance within this system as well as a quick jump in processing as well as large increase in proficiency with doing multiple tasks, will initiate after you sleep.

Another big thing I’ve noticed, the host body’s survival instincts are disturbingly unfathomable. After going through the memories, realized that they were known to have the potential and talent as a sort of ultimate instinctual fighter, but referred to as “Supreme warrior without a soul” and seen as an embarrassment of the clan.

Likely the mind just couldn’t make the necessary connections with cultivation and largely stuck inside their head. So they were seen as having been the joke and punishment of the gods, giving such a gift from the heavens onto the body of a fool without a mind. It truly was such a cruel misunderstanding.

Kimarya couldn’t help letting loose another sigh as well as feeling a fire light up inside of her as if the sad story some how resonated within her heart, or maybe the last and faint vestiges of ego of the previous owner of the body finding hope in the changing of their fate.

“Don’t worry Draeneoy, wherever your soul has gone in the after life, find peace in that I will accomplish your dreams. Sunny, you can begin the integration of her memories with mine. We’ve both been dealt a heavy hand, I truly died, it isn’t the time to be hesitant with taking in these memories.” Said Kimarya with a hard look in her eyes and a warm and confident smile facing the skies.

**Sunny** Understood, well done Kimarya. Beginning integration of memories….

There was darkness,

Kimarya saw the flashing of moments that were alien to her, of a younger Draeneoy not interacting with other children running around their village, which she noticed can’t be considered a village, more like a small or medium sized city with truly bizarre and considerably brutal customs, homes built without a roof, multiple levels but with long poles going from one wall to another where they didn’t even have ladders or stairs and just jumped to the higher level.

She remembers her mother always distantly caring for her, but even then in a near rough manner, occasional hugs and bonding but intense moments with rough housing, which with every few months was more rough. Kimarya saw that Draeneoy couldn’t understand, how her mom from one moment hugging her and helping her to a pole walk way on the second level pushed her towards the other end and Draeneoy often maintaining balance and making it across, but she always maintained total trust, where her body didn’t offer counter resistance and easily fell of the other side.

Or other times when her mother after handing her a new fruit burst out with a punch towards her and striking her on her shoulder that pushes her tumbling the expanse of the second or third level of the home where she scrambles to grab onto the walk way roughly.

She seemed to not understand the aggression when apparently its a custom and she never made that connection, she barely could express her feelings of trust and affection to her parents. Kimarya understood that its a custom from thousands of years, maybe tens of thousands, its so normal its even seen as a normal way of showing affection towards preparing their young, even a normal interaction with friends, family and lovers, the act of combat.

Due to Draeneoy not catching that connection she couldn’t connect to something universally crucial to everyone around her, even to the point of bringing frustration to her parents, especially after noticing something bizarre in her after her birth.
Shortly an hour after being born she already tracked objects and people with her eyes, able to raise her head and chest when on her stomach, responding to smiles whenever one of them smiled at her, griping objects and bringing them to her mouth, stuff that roughly the already fast development of their people that they could do within a month of being born.

At a week after being born she could already reach out and manipulate things in the areas around her, she could even crawl or roll around to get to places and made taking care of her a bigger task for her parents. Sitting up and great control of her head and responding to noises and always observing.

A month later she had complete domination of crawling and could already stand to increase her access to new objects and things for her to manipulate. They observed such an incredible growth to their child and were astounded but extremely overjoyed with the coming months and her development advancing at an enormous rate, she was a strong healthy child, till they realized she hasn’t yet started to talk even though she understood language and commands very well, she just never made an attempt at communication.

She had a habit of looking at everything and always observing, at home there was always a particular corner of cobwebs that always drew her attention the most, she spent hours daily observing the cobwebs and drawing them out on sand or paper whenever her parents let her use it, it was her only focus and happened enough for her mother Grothie to constantly tell her to stop making spider webs “dumb girl” something Kimarya felt always intensely stung the unspeaking and non-communicative girl, where she drew more and more intensely and hiding more and more inside of her.

Kimarya heard often times her parents saying she has then instincts and body of the legendary and uncommon existences that come to be born in their village every thousand and sometimes hundred years and how it feels like she has no soul. Her defensive instincts are unmatched, but it rarely goes past that, she only defends, we’ve been trying to prepare her for the coming of age event that is mandatory for all the children of royal candidate families at to do this when they turn 13. To either come back with a guardian spirit, die or return to be banished and removed without the chance to become clan leader.

Kimarya woke to the roar of Sunny in her head screaming of danger!

**Sunny** Kimarya wake up right now!!!

Dive Sasquatch God – Chapter 1 – Awakening

Grothie: “Dumb girl…. stop making spider webs.”
.
.
.
.
Those were the first words Kimarya heard as she was shaking her head till she was completely awake and her vision clear. All she could do was try and focus to get a bearing of her surroundings.

First thing she felt was that her back propped against something she could only imagine to be a tree and the existence of a dark forest all around her.

Kimarya: “Where am I?” Why did someone tell me to stop making spider webs?”

She moved to brush something that was all over her face and noticed it was long, curly hair and stopped in shock before tugging on it again and feeling a stinging pain.

Kimarya: “WHAT THE HELL!?! I don’t have long curly hair, I have a little fro’!”

Apparently, all the hair pulling triggered something and a rush of information suddenly and violently exploded in her head causing her to nearly pass out from an overwhelming pain and flood of information.

*Subconscious* Initiating flood gates safeguard!

**–Kimarya, a massive amount of new information has been discovered, a lot of it being linguistics, culture, and beliefs. A lot of it was automatically assimilated! How do you want to proceed?–**

Kimarya stayed completely still as a splitting headache died down.

Kimarya: “Sunny, we appear to be in an unknown and hostile environment! Please scan through all the assimilated information as the first priority then organize the rest of it in a new folder, check it out and categorize so we can look through it later on.

*Sunny* Understood. Kimarya I have found 300…2,000…..16,000 and growing new biological factors in host body. Initiating emergency cell frequency wave scan…..

Kimarya sat in silence as she held onto her hair before realizing what Sunny said and investing more attention to her body where she immediately started noticing the difference which caused her to immediately stand up and inspect herself with more urgency. She immediately noticed that she was much smaller… actually she wasn’t, turned out the woods and everything around her was so disproportionately larger than she’s ever experienced.

Kimarya: “What is going on?!?!

She first looked at her hands, the light was low from a cloud covered moon but she could still tell there was a dark red hue to her skin. Her tattoos and body mods are all gone, this was practically a completely different body. She stood up on shaky feet grabbing onto the tree to notice the lack of hard bark but a soft yet sturdy feel.

Kimarya: “What is with this tree bark?”

She slid her finger over the bark noticing it was somewhat elastic, smooth with pore like holes all over and just a generally strange texture, the tree was extremely large and oddly shaped when she looked over at it’s leaves but could only see a round shaped top.

Kimarya quickly moved away from the odd tree and continued to examine her body. She noticed she was wearing crude clothing made out of animal skins and odd fabrics.

Kimarya: “This definitely is not my body, what happened before all of this? Sunny do you have any idea what is going on?

**Sunny** Kimarya, so far scanning through your memories and the new information, the general conclusion is that you died in your sleep of a heart attack and other odd complications and have been reborn in the body of this person that isn’t at all within the standard range of a human being. There are differences to organs even new ones, the vitality of this body is tremendous, muscle density and structure is unlike anything I have in my data base. Would you like me to display the status of this body?

Kimarya: “Go ahead please!”

**Sunny**

Name: Draenoy
Age: 13 years old
Sex: Female
Cultivation: None
Health: Odd state of flux, but generally healthy.
Strength: ??
Vitality: ??
Dexterity: ??
Intelligence: ??
Resistance: ??
Heart Spirit: Honey Badger

[Honey Badger heart spirit: an Indomitable will to the point of constantly exceeding limits as well as in rare cases of extreme damage there exists a high probability of going into prehistoric rage with temporary atavism or the less likely option of flight/escape. Passive includes near exaggerated resistance to physical and especially mental attacks.]

Kimarya: “All of that sounds insane, how is that all possible? That sounds like super powers and what happened to Draeneoy the host of this body??”

**Sunny** Gravity and multiple environmental conditions are completely different from earth, as well as the reason I couldn’t add numerical figures to the stats of this body, so its safe to assume we are in a different world.
Regarding the host, seems she also died, from an unknown toxin in this environment, likely that odd tree-like organism you were against, so its best to create more space between it and yourself.

Kimarya stood up even straighter and added more distance between her and the odd tree as well as brushed off the back of her clothes.

**Sunny** Looking at the memories she seemed to have High functioning Autism, unfortunately her tribe and culture made her incompatible so she didn’t have a great time, in fact, the reason she was out here was due to a tradition of all 13-year-olds going out into the woods to find an ancestral spirit guardianship or never come back, though the more likely is death. Its a sort of coming of age ritual to better describe it.

Kimarya: “Death from what? There are more of those toxic trees?”

**Sunny** It’s actually a gigantic variation of mushroom–

Kimarya: “Death from what? There are more of those toxic Mushroom..trees?

**Sunny** There seems to be a massive ecosystem of dangerous and extremely powerful creatures all around. Apparently, with the coming of age ritual, there is a special method to accept an ancestral spirit guardian. The inhabitants of this world possess an astounding growing potential, known as martial cultivation where they strive for power as well as something extremely similar to Daoism.
|
|
|
To simplify it, cultivation is the stride forward and the Dao is the guide, your personal path to Apotheosis, the peak! The recommendation for right now is to get back to the village and try your luck or try to form the Ancestral Spirit Guardianship which WOULD be more dangerous and most likely lead to death if its lineage doesn’t accept you, but banishment from the village for not doing so would be assured if we return now without it.

Her body shook and goosebumps formed on her skin as she grew serious as well as rightfully scared. Should she risk the uncertain future of banishment from a people she has no emotional attachment to, or follow their insane rite but most likely die in the process?

Kimarya: “…….., I don’t know what to make of this world, but I’ve already died and I’m not going to risk that again on such low chances of survivability, Sunny, take me back to the village.”
